How to Use the Bottomless Portafilter

  • Lightly fill the portafilter basket to the top.
  • Use your finger to evenly distribute the coffee grounds.
  • Press the tamper lightly to find the center point.
  • Apply around 30 lbs (13 kg) of even pressure.
  • Tap the side of the portafilter to loosen any grounds.
  • Tamp the loose grounds lightly back into place.
  • Brew and enjoy the beautiful espresso extraction.
