It combines 64 mm flat steel SSP Multi-Purpose burrs, stepless grind adjustment, advanced RPM control and an automatic purge system to create a low-retention workflow with excellent grind consistency.

Designed for home baristas, coffee professionals and specialty coffee enthusiasts, the Orbit offers precise control from 600 to 1500 RPM through the Acaia companion app. When paired with the Acaia Lunar scale, it also supports grind-by-weight dosing with automatic start and stop for a more accurate and efficient workflow.

Precision Single-Dose Grinding

The Acaia Orbit is built specifically around a single-dose coffee workflow. Its Multi-Purpose Hopper holds up to 45 g of coffee and works with the grinder's knocking chute and automatic purge system to help minimize coffee retention between doses. This makes it easier to switch between different coffees and grind settings while keeping your workflow clean and consistent.

The stepless adjustment dial provides precise control across a wide range of grind sizes, from fine espresso to coarse filter coffee. The Orbit Space Gray model also includes a detent ring to help mark different grind positions.

SSP Multi-Purpose Burrs

The Orbit is equipped with 64 mm SSP Multi-Purpose flat steel burrs, designed to produce a highly consistent grind with excellent clarity. These burrs are particularly well suited to modern espresso and light filter coffee, making the grinder a versatile choice for different brewing methods.

The burr system is carefully checked during production to ensure proper alignment and consistent grinding performance. Acaia measures critical components to tight tolerances, including burr mounting surfaces, motor drive shafts and other important parts.

Advanced RPM Stability Control

Acaia's proprietary RPM Stability Control Technology keeps the motor speed stable throughout the grinding process, even as the amount of coffee inside the grinder changes. This helps reduce RPM fluctuations that can lead to additional heat, noise and changes in grind consistency.

The Orbit offers adjustable grinding speeds from 600 to 1500 RPM. Through the Acaia companion app, users can customize RPM settings, button actions and grinding profiles to match different coffees and brewing methods.

Grind-By-Weight Coffee Grinding

When connected to an Acaia Lunar espresso scale, the Orbit can provide an integrated grind-by-weight workflow. The system supports both single-dose and batch dosing modes, with automatic start and stop functions to help deliver the desired amount of coffee with less manual work.

This combination makes the Orbit especially useful for espresso preparation, where accurate dosing can play an important role in achieving repeatable extraction and consistent results.

The included Multi-Purpose Hopper can be used for single-dose grinding and can also work as an adapter for larger batch dosing hoppers. Acaia offers compatible hopper options with capacities up to 2 kg, giving users the flexibility to expand the grinder for higher-volume workflows.

The Acaia Orbit is designed for worldwide use with a wide 100V-240V, 50/60Hz input range.
